DOUBLE ACTION THIS THURSDAY

It started this Thursday afternoon the doubles' tournament in the Brazilian Open. The qualifying will be disputed in a eliminatory system - whoever loses is out. Eight doubles go to the next round.

 

In the female, four Brazilian partners are playing the first round. Gabriela Koch and Maira Ranzeiro went straight to the second round and wait for the winner of the confront between the Chileans Ximena Ceron/Berta Rodriguez and the Canadians Nancy Paulin/Stephanie Yuen. Mariany Nonaka and Ligia Silva are already pre-qualified to the main draw.

 

In the male competition, there will be eight Brazilian doubles in action for the opening of the qualifying. Hugo Hoyama and Thiago Monteiro are seeded of their group and only play on Friday for the final round of sixteen.
