MARIANY AND KARIN IN PAN AMERICAN'S GAMES

With many difficulties were chosen the last two table-tennis players that will make company Lígia Silva in the dream of Pan American Games's Medal after eight years. 

  

The habitant from São Paulo Mariany Mayumi Nonaka was born on April 22 and it was always very precocious in the table tennis. To the 14 years it won her vacancy for the Games American Pan of Santo Domingo and to the 16 it participated in her first Olympics, in Athena. The best position of Mariany in the ranking was 319th now in September of 2006, appears in 336th. The table-tennis player still got three bronze medals in stages of the Juvenile World Circuit (Morocco, Arab Emirates and Brazil). 

 

The other table-tennis player is a newcomer in Pan American Games. Karin Roberta Sako is natural of Mogí das Cruzes, interior of São Paulo and she is 19 years old. Karin began to play to the 6 years, when sells their siblings' training, the trainer called to play. The table-tennis player reached her best placement in the world ranking in the month of June and she appears in 457th. Sako lives in São Paulo since 2004 to dedicate to the table tennis. 

 

The two will have the company of the Amazon's girl Ligia Silva, that guaranteed her vacancy Super in the Selective of Capivari and now she is the best Brazilian in the world ranking (236 of the world). The three will count with reservation Carina Murashige's support in the difficult mission of winning a medal after eight years again, since the last was the bronze for teams in Winnipeg (1999). 

 

Karin Sako was very happy with the indication. 

 

"It is a dream for any athlete and for me would not be different. I think the Pan-American Games are an event where everything is special. It is much more than just to play. It is to be at a Town, with athletes of other countries and to change experiences", Karin says, that, diminished with the classification for the Games, it believes that will still be able to focus more the trainings.
