RUSSIAN IS THE BOYS SINGLES CHAMPION

The Russian player Stanislav Golanox is the champion of the Brazilian Junior Open. In the final, Stanislav won without any difficulty the Brazilian player Efraim Carvalho by 4 sets to 1, partials of 8-11, 11-3, 11-7, 11-7 and 11-7.

The match had to be interrupted at the fifth set because of technical problems, but started again a few minutes later. Despite losing the first set to the Brazilian athlete, Stanislav showed a lot of tranquility during the final and nailed his first title in the International Junior Circuit.

 

"I felt at ease and calm. It was a match without great complications", said the Russian, who, according to him, only had one opponent in Brazil: his sleep.

 

"I was far for being 100% at this competition. When it was about 5pm I felt extremely sleepy due to the time zone difference. Though, it was worth it. I'm happy!"
