U-21: PORTUGUESE AND KOREAN FIGHT FOR THE TITLE

The Korean player Tae Hoon Kim and the Portuguese Tiago Apolonia shattered the dream of a Brazilian final in the Under-21 tournament. In the first semifinal of the day, Kim eliminated Cazuo Matsumoto 4-3, 11/4, 11/7, 8/11, 1/11, 5/11, 11/9 and 11/8.

 

Apolonia was responsible for taking out of the competition the other Brazilian semifinalist: Gustavo Tsuboi. The Portuguese won four sets straight: 11/3, 11/8, 11/8 and 11/7.
